Associated Builders and Contractors Training Academy (ABC Training Academy) was founded in 2015 by the Associated Builders and Contractors Central California Chapter (ABC Central California Chapter) as a 501(c)(3) extension of the chapter. The purpose of the Academy is to provide training services and workforce development to members of the community.

The ABC Central California Chapter was founded in 1998 and represents the following counties: Inyo, Fresno, Kern, Kings, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Tulare. The Chapter has delivered more than 3,000,000 hours of classroom learning and trained more than 70,000 safety professionals and 3,800 craft professionals in the areas of construction, oil and gas.

Associated Builders and Contractors is a national construction industry trade association representing more than 23,000 members. Founded on the merit shop philosophy, ABC and its 68 chapters help members develop people, win work and deliver that work safely, ethically and profitably for the betterment of the communities in which ABC and its members work. ABC’s membership represents all specialties within the U.S. construction industry and is comprised primarily of firms that perform work in the industrial and commercial sectors.
